We celebrated my mother's memorial service at McDonald & Son. Paul and Dave made everything lovely and peaceful for us. They are genuinely the nicest and most caring people I have ever met. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making one of the worst days into a beautiful, peaceful day to say goodbye to my mother. Your team is a Godsend.

Uncle Harvey was a wonderful caring man with a huge sense of humor. I got to know him and my aunt Dolly more in my adult life than as a child since they lived out of state. Dolly (his wife is my dad's sister) Harvey and Dolly would visit when they came here to Michigan. During my dad's last week of life she came here to stay with me. i had no one else since my kids were all living out of state. She went with me to see my dad every day, kept me company until he passed away. we talked about everything and was a hugh comfort. Harvey being the caring man he was, supported her stay with me. He will be missed by many as he takes his place in Heaven. Prayers to Dolly, his children and all family.

We are so very grateful for the entire McDonald & Son team, who truly went above & beyond to serve & care for our family during this time. They walked alongside of us during the planning, attended to every small detail, & made themselves readily available to meet any needs that we had, before, during, & after the services. The staff is kind, calm, approachable, & well-equipped to assist families as they journey through loss. Lynx, the therapy dog is a precious added bonus. The facility was well suited for our needs, clean, & peaceful. In the midst of a painful season, the folks at McDonald & Son lifted & alleviated burdens & we are so appreciative.

To Barbara, RB, JB and all the family. We are so sorry for your loss. We know Poppy will be missed by all. I have known and loved your family for 40 years. You guys are strong, loving and devoted. Time and love will get you through. We will all see him again. ❤️SC

Our son’s celebration was held at McDonald and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory.
MSFHC is a class-act family business, where the staff is welcoming, caring, and truly invested in their customers. Everyone at the funeral home was extremely nice and helpful throughout the planning process.
Our funeral director was Kenny Jacobs. He is a true professional who was extremely kind, highly communicative, hard-working, efficient, accommodating … whew, we could go on and on.
He guided us through the entire process, had excellent attention to detail, and balanced his kindness, compassion, and humor in a respectful way.
The entire staff helped us get through this difficult day and with a beautiful ceremony that truly honored our son.
They even posted a beautiful picture of the sanctuary on their’ facebook page – Dec 21, 2019.
