Tristan Conard Schlagenhauser

Tristan Conard Schlagenhauser, 27, of Cumming, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2022. Tristan was born on October 17, 1995 in Augusta, Georgia and later moved to Cumming, Georgia with his mother and stepfather. Tristan was a “lover of nature and a hater of cheese”. He loved to “take a drive” and experience new places. His passions were for music and animals. He loved to hike and be present on the top of any mountain. One of his other past times was on-line gaming and anything electronic. Tristan graduated with Honors from North Forsyth High School and attended Georgia Southern University.

Tristan was the only child of and is survived by his parents: mom, Heather Olson; dad, Nick Schlagenhauser and stepdad, Doug Olson; maternal grandmother, Grandma Rosamond Bennett and paternal grandmother, Grandma Michelle Schlagenhauser; maternal aunt, Amy (Brett) Wesson; paternal aunts, Nora Lord, Laura Ross, Becky Cook and step-paternal aunt, Heidi (Sunder) Morgan; honorary aunts, Kathleen Ford, Brandi Shultz, Tiffany Williams, Sharon Turner, Lisa Hutcherson and Kimberly Reed; maternal uncle, Robby (Mandy) Nelson; paternal uncles, Larry Schlagenhauser, Buddy Cook, Dean Cook, Daniel Cook and Timothy Cook along with a host of cousins and other extended family.

He is predeceased by his maternal grandfathers, “Papa on the Hill” Willie F. Nelson and “Papa” Merle Bennett; paternal grandfather, Grandpa Larry Schlagenhauser, Sr. and step-paternal grandfather, Grandpa Dr. Douglas Olson, Sr.; paternal grandmother, “Grandma with the chickens” Thalia Cook and step-paternal grandmother, Grandma Dianna Olson.

Services will be held in both Augusta and Cumming, Georgia.

Visitation at Platt’s Funeral Home 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809 will be on December 10, 2022 from 11am – 1pm with the funeral service immediately following. 

Visitation at McDonald & Sons Funeral Home 150 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, Georgia 30040 will be on December 17, 2022 from 12 – 1pm.
