Phyllis Joanne (“Jo”) Freligh Sadler was born on April 17, 1927 to Clifton Wilder Freligh and Eunice Pynchon Freligh of Angola, Indiana, the youngest of 6 siblings.
The family moved to Ohio, and then to St. Petersburg, Fl where “Jo” later met and married Donald H. Sadler in 1943, and remained so until her beloved “Don” passed in September of 2003.
Jo was devoted first to God, then to her husband and children. She also spent her life worshiping with, and serving her spiritual families, most recently the Roswell church of Christ, and Mountain View church of Christ. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her beautiful smile, her love and devotion to family and friends alike, her generosity, wit, and honesty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and all of her 5 siblings, Richard Wilder Freligh, Lawrence Ervin Freligh, Laurel Nannette Freligh Ziegler, Mary Kathleen Freligh Wright Timmons, and Philip Howard Freligh. Also her granddaughter Denise Anne Nash Sheppard and great grandson Anthony Carlito Sanchez, as well as a number of her beloved nieces and nephews.
Jo is survived by her children, Donna Jo (Dennis-deceased) Nash, Donald R. (Joy) Sadler, Robert “Bobby” Sadler and Donna (Jim-deceased) Dalton, grandchildren - Deanna (Don) Gilbert, Debra (Cecil) Douthitt, Don R. (Debbie) Sadler Jr., Ashley (Marcos) Sanchez, Brandon Sadler and Ember Brown. Great grandchildren - David (Kelly) Nash, Lyndsey (George) Wilcox, Garrett (Tessa) Douthitt, Justin (Katy) Douthitt, Abigail (Kyle) Dobbs, Don R Sadler III, Isaac Sanchez, and Josie Sanchez, great, great grandchildren - Nicole, Marlin, Dean, Donovan, Addisyn, Griffin, Evie, Emma, and Nora, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 6pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7pm.
