Margaret Anne Pepe, age 82 of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully on February 6, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Margaret, known as Grandma, G-Ma and Marge, was born in Queens, NY on September 21, 1940, to the late Anthony and Edith Doyle. She is predeceased by her husband Michael Pepe, and her two brothers Thomas and Anthony Doyle.
Margaret is survived by her three sons and daughters in law, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren including Edward Pepe, his wife, Margaret and their two children, Megan and Michael, of Cumming, GA, Robert Pepe of California and his two children Robert of Long Island and Samantha of South Carolina, Michael Pepe, his wife Donna of Fort Worth, TX and their three children, Matthew, and Julia of Dallas, TX, and Elena (James Heywood) of England.
She spent most of her life in Long Island, NY where she and her husband of 50 years raised their three sons. She was a loving wife, who adored her children and grandchildren. While raising her boys she was a homemaker and worked for the school system. She eventually started working at a small bank in Long Island where she met many of her best friends.
Marge moved to Cumming, GA in 2000 to be closer to her family and grandchildren. Marge enjoyed spending her time in Cumming playing cards, dominoes and bunco with her neighbors and friends. She was a fantastic cook and baker and enjoyed sharing meals with her family and friends. She was a very talented seamstress, quilter, knitter and overall crafter. She enjoyed weekly meetups with her sewing/quilting groups and even went on retreats with them. She volunteered for Newborns in Need, knitting blankets, booties and hats for the preemies and newborns. She just loved babies and had a special way with them. Marge will be deeply missed by so many. She had the kindest heart, and laughed more than most.
