JoAnn Garrett (Garrett) Morris

August 12, 1934 ~ June 7, 2021 (age 86)


JoAnn Garrett Morris 86, of Cumming, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 5th, 2021.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband; George Morris; brother; Doyle Garrett; and sisters; Bonnie Adkins, and Doyce Perry.

JoAnn was born in Cumming, Georgia on August 12, 1934 to Edward S. Garrett and Cora Stanford Garrett. JoAnn graduated from Chestatee High School. She was a loving wife and mother. She was also a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother. JoAnn was a member of John’s Creek Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children; Gwen and Doug Brown of Snellville, GA.; Sheila and James Rutledge of Gainesville, GA.; Jamie Hart of Mt. Vernon, KY.; Robin and John Caubo of Athens, GA.

Siblings; Frank (Joyce) Garrett of Cumming, GA; Jack (Barbara) Garrett of Watkinsville, GA;  Roger (Elizabeth) Garrett of Cumming, GA; and Sister-in-law, Sarah Garrett of Cumming, GA.

Eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Gainesville, Georgia.
