Jerilyn (Jeri) Whitten Demory, 26, passed away suddenly on August 8th, 2022 in Nashville, TN.
She was born in Forsyth County, Georgia, October 12, 1995 and is survived by her son, Deklyn Newton (age 2) and parents, Maureen Demory of Sandy Springs, Ga, and James Demory of Salisbury, NC. Also survived by grandmothers, Virginia Fritz of Philadelphia, PA and Kaye Dickey of Wilmington, NC. She is loved by her siblings, Misty & Jon Dill (sons- Brighton, Leo, & Gus) of Baltimore, MD; Ginger & Mike Wetz (sons- Noah & Liam) of Cumming, GA; and Alyssa & Havard Andersen of Lorenskog, Norway. She had numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who served as mentors and second families for her, and she adored them all. Jerilyn was a Registered Nurse and graduated from Gwynedd Mercy University & Georgia Southern University.
Jerilyn was passionate about her nursing career, working at Vanderbilt Hospital & Rutherford-St. Thomas Hospital in TN. She shared her talents and compassion through volunteer nursing at the Apache Reservation in AZ as well as aiding underprivileged residents of Davao, Philippines. She was a lover of animals, especially her beloved dog, Ruger. She was sensitive, funny, and never met a stranger. To know Jerilyn was to love her, and she will be greatly missed.
Her family will be accepting visitors from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 27th; immediately followed by a Celebration of Jerilyn's Life at 1:00 pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA.
