Genevieve "Jan" Henthorn

Genevieve "Jan" May Henthorn, was born to Genevieve Ousbin and George Ousbin November 21,1946 passed away August 12, 2023. Jan, the youngest, grew up with her 4 brothers and 3 sisters in Merceville (Trenton) New Jersey. Before high school graduation, she worked at an eye clinic utilizing her impressive typing and short hand skills. After graduation she was a secretary at a law firm in Trenton where she assisted William F. Buckley among others with legal stenography writings. She met her husband, Gary while he was served in the U.S. Army at Fort Dix NJ. Smitten, they were married one year later in Princeton, NJ January 25, 1969. They were madly in love for 54 years. Gary's job carried them to Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Minneapolis and to escape the freezing winters transferred back to Atlanta. She was a member of the Forsyth County Women's League for past 20 years. She performed different charity and church work within the community. Her passion was scouting the weekly garage sales for interesting items she could resell or keep in her craft store.

Jan is survived by her 78 year old husband, her sister-in-law Jane, Jane's children Steve (Karen) grandniece (Ava), Kevin (Amy) grandniece (Ally) grandnephew (Tristan), Amy (Shawn) grandnephews (Ian and Thomas). Her beloved Miniature Black and White Schnauzer, Sparky Doodle.
