Gary Collins of Cumming, Georgia passed away on March 15, 2023 at the age of 68. He was an outstanding artist and musician. He was funny and kind, warm and witty. All just seemed better with Gary around!
He loved his family and friends deeply. And he loved his Georgia Bulldogs, roaring campfires, and lake life! The simple things were all he needed!
Friends will forever remember his iconic music and the infamous "Gary Dance". He brought so much joy and laughter to those who knew and loved him.
Gary's recent tribute to his wife Margie sums up his undeniable love for her: "There are people in the world that through their actions, words, hard work and kindness make the people around them feel better about themselves. I have such a person in my life. From the moment I met her, my life and the lives of everyone around me has brightened. She has saved me in so many ways! She literally saved my life when I was so sick. When she gets weary and tired, I am her shoulder to lean on. When she is feeling unappreciated, I listen to her words. When she is hurt deeply by those she loved and trusted, I am thankful that I can be her rock and that I can remind her that she is loved by so many.... and she IS loved by sooooo many people. I love Margie to the moon and back".
Gary is survived by his wife Margie Collins, his mother Frances Collins, sister Bonnie Grosso, brother-in-law Roger Grosso, niece Rachael Grosso Tennant, his Aunt Brenda Claitt and numerous cousins.
Gary's Celebration of Life will be held in Alpharetta, Georgia on May 6, 2023 at the Daniels' home.
