Betty James White

Betty James White of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 4, 2023. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend throughout her life.

Betty was born to William and Pauline James on March 13, 1947. She married the love of her life, Harold Doyle White, in 1977, and they went on to have three sons, John, David, and Joseph. For all that were close to Betty knew she treasured her sons embracing every moment with them and cherished the greatest role they gave her as GiGi to her five grandchildren. She loved and adored her grandchildren with all her heart.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, William and Pauline (Jones) James; husband, Harold Doyle White; and grandson, Easton James White. Betty is survived by her siblings, Kathryn (Donald) Glover of Cumming, GA and Paul James of Cumming, GA; sons, John (Anna) White of Sugar Hill, GA, David (Christen) White of Buford, GA, and Joseph White of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Maddox White, Hailey White, Saylor White, and Jillian White; and many well-loved nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations be made to the SUDC Foundation in memory of her beloved grandson Easton James White.

A visitation will be held at McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, from 10:00 - 12:00. A service will take place immediately after the visitation at 12:00. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
