Obituary

Benjamin Arthur Word, age 67, of Cumming Georgia, passed away Saturday December 25, 2021.  Ben was born in Miami, Florida on January 8, 1954.  He liked to talk about how wonderful it was to grow up there riding his bike for miles and miles. He graduated from Coral Gables High School, and Auburn University with a degree in Engineering.  Ben Worked for Harris semiconductor, Motorola, and Texas Instruments.  He loved the outdoors, scuba diving, exploring new hiking trails, and quaint little towns.  He took up running at age 40 and completed his first full Motorola marathon at the age of 45.

Ben is proceeded in death by his mother Dorothy, He is survived by his wife; Fran, 95 yr. old father; Arthur, daughter; Ashley, sister; Linda, stepson; Brian and Andy, daughter in-laws; Sandy and Erika, grandchildren; Ryann, Zachary, Faith, Hope, Andrew

We will miss his love and direction.
