Mr. Arnold Salaman passed away at around 6:00 AM on March 29, 2021. He was 88 years old. He died at his nursing home, Chestnut Ridge Nursing and Rehab. Ctr. In Cumming, GA. He died peacefully in his sleep possibly due to a cardiac event. As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, no visitors could be present in the building. He was a simple man with simple pleasures but enjoyed socializing with others, eating out, dancing, singing songs from days of old, shopping, and talking about politics with his immediate family. When he was young, art was his passion, listening to music, and he had experience working in several pharmacies and drugstores. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, lived in Florida, Tennessee, and then moved to Georgia after retirement at age 77 to live with his daughter in his senior years. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Karen and Ken Griffey, his daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and David Sankey, his granddaughter, Jessica Roscom and Son-in-law, Kevin Roscom, and his brother, Alan Salaman. His funeral will be at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, at 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040 on April 3, 2021 at 12:00 PM. A Graveside Service will follow the Viewing at around 2:30 PM at Sawnee View Gardens at 1390 Dahlonega Hwy., Cumming, GA 30028. Donations can be offered to Congregation Dor Tamid or to Altzheimers.org in lieu of flowers.
