Gary Stephen Thompson, 67, Norcross, GA passed away, Monday, August 6, 2012 at Kennestone Tranquility Hospice after suffering a massive stroke. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Earl Thompson and John Wilson Thompson. He leaves behind his sisters, Gloria Hobbs of Douglasville, Georgia and Patricia Bryant of Cumming, Georgia and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Gary was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the Coast Guard Reserve. For Most of his adult life, he participated in the Highland Games at Stone Mountain and was learning to fly a plane that he and his buddies were building.
