Frederick W. Benschine, 70, of Cumming, GA passed at home on July 28, 2012. He was born on June 2, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY and is predeceased by his parents, Dr. & Mrs. Benschine and sister, Barbara Latimer. He is survived by has wife of 39 yrs., Alice Benschine, son, Freddie, daughter, Laura, granddaughter, Riley, sister, Kathryn Katz and numerous nieces and nephews.

Fred was a member of the U.S. Army having served tours in Germany and Viet Nam as a Dust Off Crew Chief. He was an avid tennis player, loved to cook, and lived life to the fullest. He especially loved being a grandfather.

The family will be receiving guests between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 and holding a memorial service on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012 at 11:00 am, both at McDonald & Son Funeral Home in Cumming, GA with a graveside service to follow.
